Thomas M. Mahoney, 55 of Hull died at home surrounded by his family and cared for by the Hospice of the South Shore. He was born in Quincy son of Cornelius and Josephine (Bizzozero) Mahoney of Rockland. He was raised and educated in Rockland and had been a longtime resident of the town.
Tom was a Navy veteran during the Vietnam War and he later became a member of the Rockland VFW. He was a talented, self employed carpenter and cabinet maker.
In addition to his Mom and Dad he is survived by his siblings, Linda T. Roderick of Rockland, Mark E. Mahoney of Whitman and Kathleen A. Payne of Hull. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
The Mahoney family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Tom’s life on Friday, July 9, 2010 from 5-8 PM in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home 135 Union St. ROCKLAND. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 9:00 AM in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St. Rockland. Family Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
