Beth Ann Reale, 22, of Scituate, died peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2009, surrounded by her family. Born in Quincy, Beth was a 2006 graduate of South Shore Vocational Technical High School in Hanover, and a longtime volunteer working with elderly residents at the Cardigan Nursing home and the Life Care Center in Scituate. In 2003 she was honored by State Representative Frank Hynes for being the Cardigan volunteer of the year. In 2006 she was named the National Life Care Youth Volunteer of the Year and traveled to Tennessee to accept her award at their Annual Meeting. Always helping others, she also appeared on a telethon with TV personality Natalie Jacobsen in support of the “Genesis Fund” to raise money for Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends and frequently visited Disney World, and was quite the “Tink” (Tinkerbell) freak. She was an avid fan of technology and was “queen of the iPhone”. She enjoyed Facebook and working on her page. She loved music and movies, and her favorite TV shows included Family Guy, House, Jon and Kate plus 8, ER, Paula Dean and Designing Women.
She loved going to concerts and was an “Inner Circle” member of the South Shore Music Circus and always wheedled her way into a celebrity photo. She was a shop ‘til you drop kind of girl, and she loved the girlie things: manicures and Bath and Body works. Her favorite things to eat (aside from McD’s) were shrimp and lobster, and she enjoyed trying all kinds of martinis when she went out to dinner. In her younger days, she sang in the choir at St. Mary's Church in Scituate. She loved to dance.
Beth is the beloved daughter of Albert H. Reale, Jr. of Chester, Massachusetts, and Joann P. (Salvatore) Reale of Scituate, Massachusetts. She was the devoted big sister to Hannah Reale, and granddaughter of Albert and Theresa Reale of Florida, Marie Ryan and her husband Neil of Maine, and the late Robert “Bumpie” Salvatore. She is also survived by 44 aunts, uncles, cousins and step-family along with a large circle of friends, teachers and supporters.
Visiting hours will be held at Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., Rockland from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary’s of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Hanover, Massachusetts, 02339, at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 28, with a reception immediately following at the Rockland Golf Course, 276 Plain Street (Rt 139), Rockland, MA 02370. There will not be a cemetery service.
In lieu of flowers, food, and other heartfelt efforts to support the entire family in this time of grief, contributions can be made to the Beth Reale Memorial Trust Fund.
Only the main photo has been provided by the family or the funeral home.

Beth was one of the most inspirational people I knew. I feel lucky to have been able to call her a friend. I have so many memories, I don't even know which to share... St. Mary's, Gates... Beth could always put a smile on my face. I am so sorry for your loss, but I take solace in the fact that Beth will be smiling down on all of us.

Dear Joann, Hannah, & Al
There are not words that can express how sad we all are that Beth is gone. She had such an inner beauty that made everyone smile when she was around. I will always remember our special time we spent together and treasure it forever. Please know that you will all remain in our hearts and prayers. I know Beth and Nicole will be leading the chorus line of angels.

I know that Beth and Nicole are up there dancing away to one of their favotite songs.
